In addition to being attractive, they also reduce and store atmospheric carbon, slow down heavy rain and so lessen the risk of flooding, enhance air quality, and lessen the impact of the urban heat island effect by reflecting sunlight and offering shade.

One Day Tree Planting Program was held in the Kings International Medical Academy campus on the 29th of November, 2022 with the aim to keep the campus clean and green. The objective of the program was to create awareness among the students regarding the importance of ecology and the natural environment. As the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and another environmental-related issue so as to recover from such a problem planting the trees is become inevitable one of the most important aspects today. The idea behind the tree plantation activity was to propagate the message that tree planting helps to maintain clear eco-friendly environment reduces pollution and improves the green ambience.

Highlights of the event “Plant for the planet”

Nature is God’s most beautiful creation. It felicitates the growth, development, and nourishment of all its creatures. The grand social responsibility event was presided over by our reputed educationist Dr. David K Pillai, chairman of Kings International Medical Academy along with Jecintha David K Pillai, Secretary of Kings International Medical Academy. The chief guest for the event was Mr. R Parthiban- Judge. 

The list of Guests of Honour includes Mr. Mallai Sathya, Mrs. Valarmathi Yesvanthrao, Bigg Boss Fame Mr. G P Muthu, Actor Mr. Besant Ravi, Shi. Sifu. Mathieu Derosiere, Shihan. Mervyn Reddy. They actively participated in the program to show their responsibility in protecting nature.

Mission to herbal Garden! 

The incomparable goodness of herbs will be found in the KIMA garden. Due to the rising need for herbal products to treat various diseases, medicinal and aromatic plants are currently becoming more and more economically significant. The creation of a herbal garden has many benefits, including immediate access to a fresh natural resource for therapeutic compounds.

The Kings International Medical Academy has developed a Herbal Garden where more than 45 rare, endangered, and commercially significant medicinal plants have been imported from various regions of India for cultivation and propagation, keeping in mind the relevance of herbal gardens.
